Allansford Cheese World is situated on the Great Ocean Road 45 minutes from the 12 Apostles and 15 minutes from the coastal city of Warrnambool.

Cheese World promotes the local dairy industry through tasting and sales of award-winning cheddar cheeses, produced just across the road at the Warrnambool Cheese and Butter Factory.

The aim of the business is to promote locally made gourmet produce to the thousands of visitors who drop in on their way along the Great Ocean Road. An interesting variety of cheeses are available to purchase along with other local products including wines, jams, honey, sauces, chocolates, ice cream and confectionary.

Light lunches and snacks are offered in the licensed cafe with cheese platters and ploughman’s lunches a specialty. Enjoy freshly made scones with strawberry jam and thick farm cream teamed with a cappuccino or one of our famous milkshakes.

Educational information on the local dairy industry both past and present is offered through the screening of a modern cheese making DVD and a walk back in time through the local dairy history museum.

Cheese World is open 8.30am to 5pm Monday to Friday, 9am to 3pm Saturday and 10am to 3pm Sunday. Admission is free.
