Getting Here

Making your way to Moyne is quite easy, whether it be by road, rail or air. Moyne’s location at the end of the Great Ocean Road means it is well serviced by a variety of transport mediums, with frequent and varied public transport options supporting national road links.

Road
Port Fairy is conveniently located at the end of the Great Ocean Road, meaning it is easily accessible by most major highways and roads. Other Moyne towns, including Koroit, Mortlake and Peterborough have regular bus services.

By car: If you are travelling from Melbourne you can traverse the scenic Great Ocean Road (GOR B100), or take more direct routes via the Princes Hwy A1, Hamilton Hwy B140, Hopkins Hwy B120. From Adelaide you can take the A66 or B1.
By bus, coach or train:      Daily coach and train services connect Port Fairy and Koroit with Melbourne. Daily coach services connect Port Fairy with Warrnambool and Portland and Koroit with Warrnambool. There is a coach service which runs between Port Fairy and  Macarthur with Hamilton, Halls Gap and Ararat on Tuesday, Friday and Sunday. There is a coach service which runs from Warrnambool to Peterborough and along the Great Ocean Road on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Mortlake has a V/line coach service via Ballarat. Rail
The Moyne Shire is serviced by V/Line trains and buses. Trains travel daily to and from Melbourne’s Southern Cross (Spencer Street) Station from the nearby regional centre of Warrnambool (just 15 minutes from Koroit, 30 minutes from Port Fairy and 40 minutes from Mortlake). The service is direct, with stops including Geelong, Winchelsea, Birregurra, Colac, Camperdown and Terang.  There are also coach services running this route. Once you arrive at the Warrnambool station there are connecting coach services to Port Fairy and other Moyne destinations. Further information can be found at www.vline.com.au or by calling 136 196. Air
The Warrnambool airport is located within Moyne's boundaries, on the outskirts of Koroit. Several small flight companies fly to and from this airport. Further information can be found at www.airwarrnambool.com.au
