Walking tour of Port Fairy artists
The Art Walk Map guides the visitor on a unique arts focused tour of Port Fairy, visiting 11 galleries and working studios. Each is clearly marked on the map and information on the features of each venue and opening hours is included.
This is a wonderful experience, walking past historic cottages and well-kept gardens to meet local artists, seeing work in progress and viewing an exceptional standard of art in the galleries.

Kathryn Weatherly![]()
A working studio set in the garden of The Old Market Inn (c. 1858) . This is a vibrant, friendly, contemporary gallery. Here you can view the work of artist in residence Kathryn Weatherly, as well as that of other artists and commission artwork, participate in a workshop or choose from a unique jewellery and gift selection. Kathryn’s art is quirky, sexy, lively and brilliantly colourful. This artist uses many different mediums, specialising in painting on silk and willingly shares her passion for art with visitors. The studio is open from 1pm to 5pm every afternoon except Tuesdays and closed occasionally at weekends. Will open by appointment. |
Whale Bone Gallery![]()
Whalebone Gallery is a co-operative gallery in Port Fairy, a small coastal village at the end of the Great Ocean Road, on the Shipwreck Coast in the south-west of Victoria, Australia. The gallery is run by its six artist members and features examples of some of the finest work of this region. |
Eclectic Designs Glass Studio![]()
Our glass blowing studio is in the historic fishing village of Port Fairy, Victoria, where the cool sea breeze provides relief from the blast of the furnaces. We are open to the public most afternoons of the week and visitors can watch and chat to us while we work. |
Kate Smith Art Studio![]()
Kate Smith is a renowned figurative artist. Her studio is located 20 minutes drive from Port Fairy, where guests are treated to a tour of the artist studio and residence, which is the former Codrington School, circa 1875. Kate will explain how she works her magic to create her vibrant and intoxicating works of art. Visitors are asked to phone ahead for appointments. |
Wilma Preston-Studio/Gallery![]()
Wilma Preston is a realist artist who has lived and painted in the Western District all of her adult life. She loves painting in watercolour and oils and has won many awards. Wilma welcomes visitors to her Studio/Gallery, which is open most days at 41 Regent Street, Port Fairy. |
