1st-31st: Second annual Biblio-Art competition art exhibition
This competition culminates in a fabulous book inspired art exhibition, with competing artists (amateur, emerging and professional) local, regional and from further afield.  First prize is being judged by Melbourne's altered book artist, Nicholas Jones, and regional identity, Gareth Colliton. This exhibition will run until September.

7-8th: Winter Weekends festival - Food & Wine

A smorgasbord of the region's food and wine experiences including specialty foodie events, gourmet markets & special guests.

14th: Port Fairy Community Market at the Port Fairy Village Green, corner Sackville and Bank Streets, 9 am to 2 pm
Held on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month, the community party has anywhere between 25 and 80 stalls selling crafts, plants, food and local produce, jewellery and many other items. Contact the market coordinator on 0488 654 298

20th: White Ribbon screening at Port Fairy's Reardon Theatre
A series of incidents in a German rural village in 1913, spark a mysterious ritual of punishment involving children. Michael Haneke’s 2009 Palme d’Or winning film about the rise of evil takes place in evocative black and white.  (Ger) M (144 mins)

21st: Port Fairy Lighthouse open day
Subject to fine weather, the lighthouse will be open to the public from 1.30pm to 4pm as part of the International Lighthouse Lightship Weekend events.  Visitors are asked to make a gold coin donation, with funds going to the historic lifeboat. A display of historic Port Fairy Lighthouse pictures will be create at the Port Fairy Visitor Information Centre, with colouring and quiz packs for the kids. 21st: Port Fairy Farmers Market, Village Green, cnr Sackville & Bank Streets, from 8.00am - 1.00pm
The monthly farmers markets highlight produce from local farmers including fruit, vegetables, flowers and honey in season, plants, baking, eggs and much more. 22nd: 'Sylvia Plath: the Girl Who Wanted to be God'
This one-hour, four-person play is now touring regional Victoria following a successful Melbourne season in February. The play draws on Plath's poetry, letters and journals, telling her story through the conflicting voices of her three alter egos. 2pm at Blarney Books and Art, 37 James Street, Port Fairy.  Tickets are $20 or $15 (conc) and include afternoon tea. 23 - 29th: New artworks by Jill Edwards with the theme of Madonna & Child.
These richly adorned glass, bead & fabric collages celebrate the special connection between Mother & Child.

24th: Tuesday afternoon classic movie matinees at Port Fairy's Reardon Theatre
Four monthly classic films from the 30s, 40s, 50s and 60s. Concession rates for Senior Citizens Club, Moyneyana House Residents and the Day Centre. Screens from 1.30pm.

28th: Book launch - The Grease Monkey's Tale, by Paul Burman
You are invited to the launch of Port Fairy author Paul Burman's second novel, The Grease Monkey's Tale, at Blarney Books, James Street, Port Fairy. from 5pm to 7pm. Introduced by international author Dmetri Kakmi, signed copies of the novel will be available at discount prices and wine and nibbles will be on offer.
