The Port Fairy Lighthouse is open to the public on two weekends this January as part of the fabulous Moyneyana Festival.   The first opening will be on the weekend of the 7 and 8 January 10am - 4pm and proceeds will support the Port Fairy CFA and the second opening is the weekend of 28 and 29 January 11am - 5pm when the proceeds will go to the Port Fairy Rotary Club. There is a nominal cost of $2 for adults and 50c for children.   The lighthouse was built in 1859 and is still fully operational, the view from the top is fantastic but the tours are for fit and healthy people only as the staircase is quite steep.
