1 September 2010 -  GUIDED TOURS OF MOYNE'S VOLCANIC HISTORY A HIGHLIGHT OF VICTORIA TOURISM WEEK

Moyne Shire will celebrate the inaugural Victoria Tourism Week this September with some unique tours of the region's explosive volcanic history.
Tours of two of Moyne Shire's amazing volcanic sites are planned during the week, which starts on September 6 and runs through until September 11. Victoria Tourism Week is a State Government initiative to help people understand the social and economic contribution the tourism industry brings to local communities.

Port Fairy welcomes spring with the annual Port Fairy Spring Music Festival from October 8 - 10. A leading classical music festival in Victoria, the three-day event presents classical and contemporary ensemble music set among the historic buildings of Port Fairy. The talents of many highly regarded and established artists merge with the very best of Australia's emerging performers and composers.

Port Fairy celebrates Food and Wine this coming weekend, with the third and final festival in the Winter Weekend series. Bring your appetite and experience great dining and tasty café style in this historic seaside town.

 

29 July 2010 - EXPLORE THE PORT FAIRY LIGHTHOUSE THIS AUGUST AND SEPTEMBER

Two rare public openings are planned for the Port Fairy Lighthouse on Griffith Island in the coming months. While Griffith Island is open to the public and visitors can walk up to and around the lighthouse, there are no formal tours or entry into the historic bluestone building.
