4th December: Port Fairy Consolidated School Fete, on the Civic Green
11th December: Port Fairy Community Market at the Port Fairy Village Green, corner Sackville and Bank Streets, 9 am to 2 pm
Held on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month, the community party has anywhere between 25 and 80 stalls selling crafts, plants, food and local produce, jewellery and many other items. Contact the market coordinator on 0488 654 298
18th December: Port Fairy Farmers Market, Village Green, cnr Sackville & Bank Streets, from 8.00am - 1.00pm

19th December: Carols by Candlelight, at Yambuk Recreation Reserve
24 December -26 January: Moyneyana Festival, Port Fairy
The truly remarkable annual Moyneyana Festival is held in Port Fairy each summer season and manages to skilfully combine a range of events for all ages. Often utilising the town's spectacular natural attractions, the festival begins Christmas Eve with a free barbeque, visit from Santa and Christmas carol sing-along. New Year's Eve features a major event on the social calendar, with the Moyneyana Parade getting back to good old-fashioned family entertainment. It includes a float parade, live music and spectacular fireworks display. Running until Australia Day, the daily program features a variety of activities - many of them free - including the popular New Year's Day duck derby on the river, free kite flying and much, much more.

31st December: New Year’s Eve Procession, Port Fairy
The renowned New Year’s Eve Procession at Port Fairy is the highlight of the Moyneyana calendar and incorporates good old-fashioned fun. A float parade, spectacular fire works display and music and entertainment make Port Fairy a popular New Year’s Eve choice for people of all ages
