Victoria Tourism Week
6 - 11 September 2010
The inaugural Victoria Tourism Week is scheduled for 6th to 11th September, with events scheduled across the state, including the Moyne Shire. The event will help people understand the social and economic contribution the tourism industry brings to the community and showcases some of the great attractions across the Moyne Shire.

- Mortlake bluestone precinct self-guided walk—View the beautiful bluestone buildings that abound in Mortlake.

- Mount Eccles volcano tours— Guided tours of volcanic attraction Mount Eccles, including the Lava Tunnel Cave. More information.
- Opening of Mott's Cottage—Furnished as a working man's home, the first section dates to the 1840s and at one time was used as a bakery. 2pm- 4pm, 5 Sackville Street, Port Fairy, 03 5568 2632
- Port Fairy History Centre—This is an accredited museum, telling the story of the Port Fairy region through displays and photographs. 2pm - 5pm, 30 Gipps Street, Port Fairy 03 5568 2263
- History walks - Interesting guided tour of the historic seaside village of Port Fairy. Leaving from the Port Fairy VIC. Call for times 1300 656 564
- Indigenous experiences at Tower Hill State Game Reserve—Indigenous cultural experiences, interpretive tours and wildlife stories at dormant volcano and State Game Reserve Tower Hill, near the Irish Village of Koroit. 11am to 1pm.

- Port Fairy's historic lighthouse open to the public. 1pm - 4pm. (weather permitting). Click here for more information.

- Morning Craft market - See a delightful array of arts and crafts at this spectacular craft market on the Village Green.
- Car boot sale - Find a bargain at our car boot sale at Railway Place.
