Winter is wonderful
Winter in Moyne is wonderful.
For one, it’s perfect eating and drinking weather.
Dine at one of the region’s many cosy fine dining restaurants or have a pint of Guinness in one of the many historic hotels.
Enjoy the peace and quiet of winter. Rug up and take an invigorating walk around the island and beaches. The
wild shipwreck coastline is magnificent viewed in the full force of winter. Watch the whales cruising past our front
door, treat yourself to a massage or just grab a hot chocolate, a book and curl up beside an open fire.
Port Fairy’s newest festival celebrates ‘Winter in Port Fairy’ with a series of fun weekends held at various venues
around the town throughout the winter months. This is a great way to spend some of those wintery weekends
with good music, great food and plenty of entertainment.
Take a step back in time on the History Weekend and explore Port Fairy’s many historic attractions and attend workshops on researching your family history.
There are many more fun activities that are great for the family and the best part is that most events are free!
With winter just around the corner, now is the time to plan a cosy winter break.
Take the time to see it all or, like many do, come back again and again - after all, it’s magic!
