Take an artistic view on rainy days
Cold and wet weather during our winter months make inside the best place to be and the many art galleries scattered through Port Fairy and greater Moyne Shire make staying indoors a very attractive proposition.
If you really need to warm up then visit the Eclectic Designs Glass Blowing Studio in Regent Street. The studio is open most weekday afternoons and visitors can watch and chat to the artists while they work, and take advantage of the warmth from the furnaces. Click here for more information.
Artist Kathryn Weatherly welcomes visitors to her studio and gallery situated at the rear of the "Old Market Inn" on William Street. Open most afternoons between 1pm and 5pm, Kathryn has many of her own paintings on display along with works from other local artists. Click here for more information.
For book lovers you can't miss Blarney Books and Art on Regent Street. Currently showing entries and winners of the annual Biblio Art Awards, this bookstore specialises in quality second hand literature. Click here for more information on Blarney Books, and here for more information on the Biblio Art Award exhibition.
When the weather clears head to the Visitor Information Centre and pick up a copy of the Art Walk Map, which will guide you ona unique focused tour of 11 galleries and working studios - plan your stops now by downloading the Port Fairy Art Walk Map here.
