Great Trek to Port Fairy on December 2

The Yooralla Great Vic Trek arrives by cycle in Port Fairy on December 2.

The 15 day promotional and fundraising "Trek" combines walking, cycling, driving, motorbikes, and even hotrods, to complete the tour of Victoria, which aims to expand the awareness of the essential services Yooralla provides to those Victorians that live with a disability.

Following the success of the inaugural Great Vic Trek 2009, Ambassadors will help promote and travel with the event. In Port Fairy Australian Netball Captain Sharelle McMahon, Cricket legend Max Walker and AFL legend Simon Madden will be supporting the fundraising activities.

The celebrities and Trek team will arrive at the Village Green at approximately 1pm where Mayor: Cr James Purcell, St Patricks Parish Primary School and Port Fairy Consolidating School will join them for a Meet and Greet with the local community and a chance to participate in some fundraising and raffles. APEX will be conducting a BBQ from 12:30pm. That evening, the Victoria Hotel will host a Great Vic Trek dinner at their venue at 7pm.
