Enjoy the spectacle of Port Fairy's mutton birds

Port Fairy's spectacular Griffiths Island will be the subject of the Conservation Volunteers organisation next Saturday as part of its Summer of Discovery program.

The program is a series of activities held during the holiday period (December-January) to engage local communities and holiday-makers with the natural environment while promoting sustainability, conservation and health in the outdoors.

The free Birds on Griffith Island tour will take place next Saturday, December 11, at 6.30pm and will highlight the amazing natural cycle of the shearwaters. Those who wish to participate should meet at the Griffith Island carpark and bring warm clothing and a torch.
