The annual event attracts competitors from all over Australia, with events running from 7am on Friday 25th, Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th February.

The campdrafting competition requires horse riders to cut a single cattle beast from a group in a camp yard, move it out into the arena and through a figure 8 pattern, then out through a gate. All age groups complete the same course and have a set time to complete the task. Competitors are judged on horsemanship and control of the cattle beast.
