Historic Enterprize sails into Port Fairy
Saturday, 12 March 2011 00:00
A replica of the topsail schooner that brought the first settlers to Melbourne in 1835 will visit Port Fairy on March 27.
The ship is usually docked at Williamstown in Melbourne, offering sunset sails daily, however later this month it makes the five day journey along the southern coast, past the spectacular Twelve Apostles, to spend a week in Portland. Sunset sailings will be available from Portland, as well as the overnight coastal sailing from Portland to Port Fairy and return, until the ships return journey to Melbourne on March 31.
The Enterprize will be in Port Fairy from around 6pm on Sunday, March 27 and departs again around 8am on Monday, March 28.
