Charity auction in April for south west cancer services

A giant car boot sale and charity auction will be held in Port Fairy on April 23 to raise funds for  Peter's Project.

Peter's Project is a campaign to bring improved cancer care services to south-west Victoria. The project is named in honour of Peter Jellie who lost his life to cancer, and aims to integrate and develop cancer care services to provide a one-stop shop for patients in south-west Victoria and south-east South Australia.

The Port Fairy Lions Club will run the event, with bookings for car boot spaces and stalls available from the Visitor Information Centre. Car spaces and stalls cost $10.

The auction of goods will take place at 11am and local businesses are being asked to donate goods for auction. Donations of saleable goods can be left witht he Lions Clubs of Macarthur, Woolsthorpe, Warrnambool, Port Fairy and Koroit.
