The Recently refurbished, Great Ocean House (previously the Peterborough Beachfront Motel) comfortably sleeps 25, and sits on arguably one of the best sites on the Great Ocean Road, with amazing views and it is only a short drive to the world famous Twelve Apostles! It is the perfect destination for large family groups, friendship groups or special interest groups wishing to spend time together without living in each other’s pockets.
In the main building there is a large, open plan living and dining room with amazing views and wood-burning fireplace and a fully-equipped entertainer’s kitchen. There is a separate television room and undercover play area viewable from the kitchen; a great spot for the kids to play when the weather is inclement. There is a large entertainment room at the westerly end of the building complex with a 6m concertina window opening up onto the large enclosed lawn area, which is perfect for a game of outdoor cricket. This room has a window bar, numerous café style tables, a kitchenette with drinks fridge and it’s own bathroom. Each separately keyed bedroom, with en-suite has been completely refurbished with new bathrooms, north-facing patio and plenty of natural light. There are two generous family suites and an additional 8 bedrooms, two with interconnecting doors.
We have a dedicated disabled use bedroom with a full wet-room en-suite bathroom and access ramp. The main living areas all have disabled/wheelchair access and we have a disabled purpose bathroom in the main living area.
This property is perfect for special interest groups. We have a separate secure bicycle shed with room for 10 wall-mounted bikes and a top of the line maintenance rack. The surrounding landscape makes the perfect setting for photographers and artists and the fishing, walking and golfing opportunities in the local area are fantastic.
